3A Composites officially opens new China Manufacturing Centre for Alucobond® and Alucore® brands

3A Composites, the only and original manufacturer of Alucobond®, Alucore®, Dibond® and other related brands, celebrated the Grand Opening of its newly built Manufacturing Centreon May

25, 2013 in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, in the presence of Cao bucheng, Deputy Governor of the Zhonglou District, as well as Zhang jing, Deputy Governor of the Zhonglou District. Also speaking at the event were Dr. Heinz Baumgartner, CEO of Schweiter Technologies, the holding company of 3A Composites, and Dr. Tarek Haddad, CEO Architecture Asia.

As keynote speakers, Dr. Baumgartner said that he was “proud of the development of Architecture business in China in the recent years and that the new facility will be a cornerstone of the success to come”. Cao bucheng emphasised “the increasing attractiveness of Changzhou City because of its investments in infrastructure and its business mindedness”.

The new complex comprises four major areas: the coil coating area, the lamination lines area, the fabrication solutions area and the customer visit and service centre area. With now having quadrupled its facilities in size, 3A Composites is able to reduce lead time for its products, increase flexibility and educate on and demonstrate to owners, developers, architects, consultants as well as fabricators and installers all aspects of all of the company’s solutions. “With such an integrated platform, I am convinced we can further enhance the Alucobond® and Alucore® value propositions for our customers in China, South Asia and the Middle East”, Dr. Tarek Haddad said, adding “it is our aim to maintain the highest level of product quality in the industry and to increase our service levels across the board”.

The new facilities will specifically allow to offer more custom and value added solutions, e.g. the increasingly demanded made-to-measure and ready-to-install offerings for Alucobond® and Alucore®clad. But it also serves as a single source production location for the company’s Sandwich Wall, Interior Ceiling and Sunshading products.
